Event Details
On March 15th, you can make a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of animals every year.

For the third year in a row, the League of Humane Voters of New York State will be organizing an animal protection lobby day in Albany.

People from all around the State who care about animal rights will make the trek to Albany to discuss with their elected representatives issues which, quite literally, are a matter of life and death.

On our legislative agenda for this year:

• A bill to ban the murder of “exotic” nonhuman mammals in canned shoots.
• A bill to ban the force feeding and murder of more than 300,000 ducks a year at Hudson Valley Foie Gras.
• A bill to allow local counties and municipalities to ban the trapping of nonhuman animals for their fur.

Be part of a growing political movement for nonhuman animals. Let those who represent you know where you stand on the issue of animals’ rights.

Training on the issues and on lobbying will be provided. A complete schedule will be posted soon.

Vans from New York City and Buffalo to Albany and back are being organized. Registration with travel is $35.

We expect this event to be the best yet. Please register today.

The League of Humane Voters of New York City (LOHV-NYC) seeks to mobilize public concern for animals through the democratic political process. We campaign for the election of candidates for public office who will work to enact animal rights legislation. Recognizing that animal exploitation is a political issue and not just a moral one, we intend to make animal rights a mainstream political issue by building support among citizens, activists, political parties, candidates and elected representatives.
